Character: Bill Weasley Story: Harry Potter books Media: watercolour and mixed media on 300gsm watercolour paper Size: approx 6.5 x 9 inches
Tall, thin, long red hair in a ponytail, fang earring, clothes that wouldn't 'look out of place at a rock concert' and handsome: check. But then I added a few (Bohemian) Weasel-ly details: the shirt, for example, which I wanted to look like it might have been bought in Egypt where he was working; the skull belt, simply because I could; and the tattoo.. ah, I couldn't resist. Good-natured rebel who makes Gryffindor Head Boy? I envisioned him secretly celebrating with his friends by maybe getting a little griffin tat on his arm.
Other details include the leaded window (with spider design I suppose would freak out poor Ron) looking out to the Burrow's garden, the ancient green leather chair (with 'improvements' by Molly of a purple drape; and the little magical creature thingies peeking out from under it. In a house as old and as magical as the Burrow, there are bound to be some non-human inhabitants - and Bill is unconcerned about their presence. He has other things on his mind. Status: Sold.
